RiverPark Center Awarded Grant from the Honorable Order of KY Colonels

RiverPark Center is proud to announce it received a grant from the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels (HOKC) in the amount of $5,000 to support improvements to public drinking water stations, helping create a more accessible, welcoming, and convenient experience for the thousands of guests who visit each year.

Each year, RiverPark Center welcomes more than 80,000 visitors through Broadway performances, concerts, arts education programs, camps, community events, and performances by resident arts organizations. Improvements to the Center’s drinking water stations will enhance accessibility, promote healthy hydration, encourage the use of reusable water bottles, and help ensure the facility continues to meet the needs of today’s guests.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the Kentucky Colonels for investing in improvements that will benefit everyone who comes through our door, from children attending Arts Teach Kids performances and summer camps to families, volunteers, performers, and community members attending shows and events,” said Lauren Osowicz, Director of Development at RiverPark Center. “The Kentucky Colonels understand that strong communities are built not only through programs, but also through safe, welcoming public spaces. Their generosity allows us to make improvements that will have a lasting impact on the experience of every person who visits RiverPark Center.”

HOKC awarded $2.6 million in grants supporting 318 non-profits, impacting more than 4 million Kentuckians. Grants are made possible through donations from Kentucky Colonels from throughout the Commonwealth and around the world who choose to exercise the honor of being named a Kentucky Colonel in a meaningful way.

According to HOKC Executive Director Sherry Crose “It is the Honorable Order’s purpose to strengthen the lives of Kentuckians and we do that through this grant program, called the Good Works Program. We are grateful for the contributions from Kentucky Colonels to this program and together we can help Kentucky nonprofits with their mission to enrich and reinforce the lives of Kentucky residents.”
