RiverPark Center is excited to announce the return of Bourbon & Bags for Broadway, now entering its third year as one of the community’s most anticipated evenings of entertainment and philanthropy. Set for Thursday, August 20 starting at 5PM, this elegant fundraiser combines Kentucky’s rich bourbon heritage with designer handbags and other fabulous prizes – but it’s more than just a great night out – it’s an investment in the arts!
Guests will enjoy an evening of premium bourbon tastings, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a lively auction featuring rare bourbons and luxury handbags, all while helping advance arts education and student access initiatives at RiverPark Center – giving young people the opportunity to experience the power of live performance, often for the very first time.
Through support from Bourbon & Bags last year, nearly 800 high school students attended Austen’s Pride, a musical inspired by Pride and Prejudice, while nearly 300 students experienced the Tony Award-winning musical Hadestown. These productions introduced students to the power of live theater through engaging storytelling, music, and themes of identity, resilience, hope, and personal growth.
The impact of this support continues to grow. Last year alone, more than 23,000 students attended 50 educational performances through RiverPark Center programming, sparking imagination, building confidence, and creating lasting connections to the performing arts.

Doors will open at 5PM for hors d’oeuvres, bourbon tastings, silent auction bidding, and live music, with the live auction and program beginning at 6:30PM.
