arts in the am

Arts in the A.M. Arts in the A.M. is an interactive, intimate, integration of the arts that turns arts education into a masterpiece. Students and their teachers will be actively engaged in arts activities that will connect to core content standards on both state and national levels.

Components of the program include four 45-minute workshops in the areas of visual art, music, dance and theatre, plus a backstage tour of RiverPark Center's 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art theatre.

Workshops run for three hours and students are divided into groups for a more intimate hands-on experience. The cost of the program is $8.00 per student. For availability, contact Lynda Youngman at 270-687-2770 or lyoungman@riverparkcenter.org

*Get "MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUS!," and bring a sack lunch and combine this with "The Sounds of the Symphony".

Sounds of the Symphony is an educational program offered after Owensboro Symphony school performances and all Arts in the AM programs while students and busses are already at RiverPark! Dr. Diane Earle of David Goodwin and Maestro Nicholas Palmer present this hour-long interactive program, which deals with core content, families of the orchestra, great music, styles and periods of music. The Instrument Zoo is a hands-on part of the program, where students get to experience musical instruments first-hand. Sessions are from 12:30-1:30. The cost of this Owensboro Symphony Program is $2.00 per student.
