Arrange your transportation.
Regular admission is $5.50 for each student, teacher and parent attending, unless noted otherwise. Admission fees are used to pay artists’ fees and production costs. Although these costs continue to increase each year, we keep the ticket prices as low as possible with help from generous sponsors.
Payment is due at least four weeks in advance. Your reservations are confirmed only after payment or other arrangements have been made. Seating assignments are made in the order that payment is received.
Invoices are e-mailed eight weeks before each performance or as requested. Make necessary changes to your order before or at the time you are invoiced. Please specify if you would like an invoice sent at the time of reservation. It is the responsibility of the contact person to forward the invoices to the appropriate person or office when it is received.
Confirmation and group tickets will be emailed 2-4 weeks prior to each show once payment has been made. Please print and present ticket for admittance to the show.
Cancellations need to be made in writing at least four weeks in advance. Once you have made payment for a performance, a refund cannot be made. We will, however, offer to transfer the payment to another performance with availability, depending on the circumstances of your cancellation.
In the case of school closings due to weather, we will transfer your payment to a different performance. If we are unable to accommodate your group, a refund will be issued.
Plan to arrive at the theatre at least 20 minutes in advance. Remain on your bus until a RiverPark Center volunteer usher gives you instructions and leads you into the theatre. RPC has developed a system to ensure the safety of students and to seat a large number of students in a short amount of time. Please wait until all students are seated before allowing restroom breaks. Bus drivers will be given a map to the Owensboro Sportscenter, because there is not ample parking in the downtown area.
Buses will be sent back to RPC in the order in which your school is called to exit the theatre. It is very important that you remain in your seats until your school and bus number are called. We will try to have you back on your bus within 30 minutes. If you have traveled a long distance and your students require a restroom break after the show is over, please let someone know upon arrival and we will call your buses last. Once your bus has been called, you must load immediately.
For those arriving in cars or vans, limited parking is available across the street in the Downtown Parking Garage. There is some parking on the street, first level of the garage, or top of the garage but please do not park in private business parking lots or reserved spaces in the garage.
Infrared Hearing Enhancement is available for the deaf and hard of hearing. This system amplifies sound via headsets. This service is available for all performances in Cannon Hall.
A sign language interpreter can be provided for most performances with prior notification. Please call at least two weeks in advance. Schools are always welcome to bring their own sign language interpreter.
Please call Donna Conkwright (270) 687-2770 at least four weeks in advance to check availability.
If your school has traveled a long distance to visit RiverPark Center, please consider local restaurants for lunch. Many restaurants are happy to accommodate groups with advanced notice. For a complete list of restaurants, go to visitowensboro.com and click on Visitors Guide. Please notify restaurants well in advance of your visit.
If your school wishes to bring your own lunch and eat at RiverPark Center, please call at least two weeks in advance. RiverPark Center has very limited space and often cannot accommodate all requests. There is no fee for lunch space, but please be aware that we do not provide tables and chairs.
Please be aware that when loading or unloading lunches, buses will not be allowed to hold up the loading or unloading of students before or after a show. After a performance, buses are lined up according to how they are being called to leave. If your buses arrive during that process for the second show, you will be asked to return after the last bus is loaded.
When arriving with lunches, please have designated students, teachers or chaperones ready to exit the bus first and unload lunches as quickly as possible.
